Newly lifted bare root hop plants are normally available during the English winter from late November.

We plant in the winter months, while the root is dormant. The perennial climbing plant starts its growth in April and flowers in late August. Planting bare root hop plants in the spring and summer is fine, but availability is limited.

We have more than 20 English Hop Varieties and more than 20 Foreign Hop Varieties for you to choose from.

Growing hops at home is easy, fun, and very rewarding, particularly if you brew beer at home too. However, there are essential growing hops accessories you will need to get started. We provide our customers exacly the same growing hops accessories that we use every year.

It was a tradition only to hang dried hops for decoration in pubs and farmhouses on the walls and ceilings. Today, we have seen a rise in the craft brewing scene, and it is now trendy to use dried hops for decoration at weddings.

Essentially Hops have been growing and drying hops for more than 60 years and proven our ability to produce and store quality hop garlands. Our very own hops have featured on national television, Richard II (BBC2), Primeval (ITV), and Homemade Homes (Channel 4), to name a few.

Add a new touch to your home or pub, or refresh your old hop garlands. Freshly picked hop garlands are only available during the hop harvest season. The hop garlands are picked from our hop gardens the day we dispatch your order. They are sent by our upgraded delivery service and the price includes delivery. If you wish to collect your fresh hops from our shop, they are £25 each.

Fresh hops for decoration look great, and smell lovely too. Fresh hop garlands have a rough and slightly sharp surface, this can scratch your skin, which may cause short-term irritation. We recommend you wear thin gloves and long sleeve clothing when you are hanging your hops.

You can hang hops almost anywhere, but they must be hung where they will not be knocked by people. Choose a place where they will not get direct sunlight as sunlight will fade the greenness of the flowers.

We regret that we are UNABLE to send FRESHLY PICKED hops anywhere outside England, Wales, and Scottish Lowlands due to complications in fast delivery. If you live outside these areas we would recommend our dried hop garlands

Hops in pillows have been used for many centuries to promote a deep relaxing sleep. At least once in your lifetime, you have struggled sleep at night. Then, you wake up in the morning tired and drowsy. The most common answer to this problem is sleeping pills. Well, that does not have to be the answer. Hops may be what you need for a deep sleep.

The BBC documented James Wong's "Grow Your Own Drugs", which has proven hops promote sleep. James tested hops on people with severe insomnia. We sell loose hops which you place in your pillows; you can add lavender oil to soothe your mind. We also sell small sleeping rocks, which are hops and lavender oils together.
