Casual Harvest Work (May – October)

Casual Harvest work includes weeding, picking flowers and hops, and other related farm work.

Work days and times vary depending on the weather.

Statutory pay rates apply.

Our field crew are a hard-working team who support a critical role in our business, helping with the harvest of our core products. Many members of the team return in subsequent years and forge new friendships while learning a lot about the farm business, and about the plants we grow.

We’re looking for a competent and enthusiastic person to join our fantastic team and take full responsibility of our webshop management and development.

You must have a cheerful personality and able to communicate effectively and confidently. You must be self-motivated, professional, organised, efficient, quick-thinking, hard-working, consistent and reliable.

The right candidate will be able to work with, and be part of, a strong team and be keen to pitch in when and where required. You need to be physically capable, with a practical disposition and “hands on” attitude.



Your responsibilities will include:

· SEO optimisation. Understanding the use of keywords and creating content description and development, SEO improvement and maintenance to keep us at the top of search engine results pages.

· Development and management of website performance to achieve/exceed company targets whilst maximising sales and profitability

· Implementing new and better functionality on our webshop that will improve customer experience and analysis

· Day-to-day on and off-page optimisation, including landing page content, keyword research, product descriptions.

· Basic reporting and analysis to show impact of work

· Working with other members of the team to manage and optimise our social presence on Social Media, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, GMB

· Maintain the website – keep plugins up to date, fix technical issues that may arise, look at ways of improving functionality to improve efficiency for order processing and the front end user experience.

· PPC campaigns for maximum ROI


You will need to

· Research and develop your understanding of the business and products so you can develop engaging and relevant content for our site and online customers as well as providing SEO benefits.

· Writing highly engaging and relevant content that delivers strategic SEO value.

· Input new products to our site regularly with good quality and accurate content, including descriptions, attributes, meta information, prices, stock, and photographs.

· Design & be responsible for traditional marketing material & local advert campaigns

As a small business, you will be expected to support your colleagues to ensure our customers receive their order on time. You will be expected to contribute to a lesser extent in:

· Taking orders processing paperwork for orders, pack & dispatch, answering telephone calls.

· Responding to customers enquiries accurately and efficiently.

· Stock control


· WordPress & Woocommerce

· Proficient in Google Analytics and Google Search Console

· Proficient knowledge of SEO principles and how to use them

· MailChimp email marketing platform

· Ability to identify and solve problems

· Competent with Microsoft Office programmes: Word and Excel

· Excellent communication skills

· Basic HTML and CSS

· Adobe Photoshop


· Knowledge of PHP

· Experience using Yoast, Code Snippets, Forminator, Slider Revolution and WPBakery Page Builder

· Photography & videography & editing

· PR experience


· At least 3 years’ experience managing a woocommerce website

· Min 5 year’s eCommerce experience
