Hersbrucker was created in Germany in an attempt to create a variety resistant to verticillium wilt that could replace Hallertau Mittelfruh.
Has compact cones and is moderate in its yield.
Hersbrucker is an aroma hop giving a spicy and fruity flavour. Many of the Bavarian breweries use this variety in their lagers and pilsners and it is also making its way in to English cask ales.
Hersbrucker will grow to approx. 15-20 feet once mature.
